Water for food security and nutrition

Water for food security and nutrition, 2015.  A report by The High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition.

The Water for Food Security and Nutrition report by the HLPE for the UN Committee on World Food Security (CFS) calls for policy coherence at all levels of governance and management around water, food security and nutrition issues. Policies and governance issues around land, water and food are usually developed in isolation; however it is vital for decision makers to take a joined-up approach in addressing these challenges. Against a backdrop of future uncertainties, including climate change, changing diets and water demand patterns, ensuring universal access to water and recognising the linkages between water and food security and nutrition are fundamental.
